10/14/2007- After updating the tour dates for the Halloween tour we decided to add a new link to the tour area. We added a link to all the tour dates we have since this site was started. Which lead us to another discovery, we've covered 4 albums, too many tours, dealt with 2 different labels and came to realize it all started exactly 8 years ago today. Here is the link to the Tour Book, We would like to eventually add in the supported and supporting acts and link to the shows we've covered. Until then here is the link.

Dead Again
3/6/2007- After having every official release that Type O Negative has done to date I received my latest installment into my Type O Negative library last week. 'Dead Again' has raised the bar (or in Type O Negative terms lowerd it). 'Dead Again' is a disc that I have been listening to over and over again without even thinking of switching it out. The last full album that I remember keeping my attention that long was 'October Rust'. It starts off with the title track 'Dead Again', this track starts at the pace of the typical Type O Negative album slow dredge then BAM! about half way through we're jamming. Next up, 'Tripping a Blind Man' is another multi part multi pace track first fast, followed by slow and finally we're jamming again. Third track, 'Profits of Doom', I remember hearing that title back before the World Coming Down release in 1999. This is an epic track that seems to span the spectrum of Type O Negative's abilities. This could be another multi part track like earlier 'Christian Woman' that was on 'Bloody Kisses'. 'September Sun' is up next, it continues in the Type O Negative style that is becoming evident thus far. 'Halloween in Heaven' is another jamming track with the addition of the vocals from Tara Vanflower of the band Lycia. 'These Three Things', 'She Burned Me Down', 'Some Stupid Tomorrow' all continue to build upon the foundation that the previous work has laid. Then, 'An Ode to Locksmiths' and 'Hail and Farewell to Britain' complete the album. In my opinion, 'Dead Again' has the depth and serious potential to be their best album to date.

7/20/2005- Status Update
Type O has been rehearsing a lot. We’re on somewhat of a steady schedule as of late. Things are moving along. Kenny is doing vocals today for our side band and we’re probably going to start playing out locally next month.
The Roadrunner All Stars thing was a blast. I played on one song. Matt from Trivium wrote it and layed guitar. The bass player and the original singer from Killswitch Engaged are also on the track. I haven’t heard the track with vocals yet though. I was the first to go in a record the track. It was just me and Matt for that. The engineer, Jason Suecof sent me an MP3 of the track without vocals and it sounds pretty cool. Peter is supposed to be doing a song with Joey from Slipknot but that’s all the details I have regarding that. Josh is supposed to be taking part in it also but I don’t have any details about that either.
Talk to you soon.

Johnny

2/28/2005- Wisconsin Death Trip 2005
After almost making a Dodge Neon a hood ornament for my Dodge Ram, I come to the conclusion that I HATE TOLL BOOTHS. A few hours later we roll into Chicago and find the House of Blues. Waiting for the guest list turned into fuck it I'll buy them tonight. Then the waiting game starts. It was about 30 degrees outside when we got in line, then they decide to open the doors at 5pm great lets go, about an hour later we are in the door. The show started with Eyes of Fire, unfortunately we missed most of their show, then Trivium, Katakylsm. About 8:30 Danzig was on. It was one of the most solid Danzig shows I have seen. After nearly 15 songs they were done, and the House of Blues couldn't get us out quick enough. I meet up with Meg who I meet in Des Moines on the last show I seen of Type O. She was still working so she called Johnny to see where he was, left a message and so we left for some food. At midnight we rolled out on our way to Minneapolis. Tuesday 1 AM, blizzard conditions all the way to Madison. After Madison it cleared up, but was colder then a well diggers ass. About 7:30 we rolled into Minneapolis, did the breakfast thing and explored the ways to burn about 7 hours. After not finding any bars we went to see Constantine, good movie but not what I expected. About 2 I got to First Avenue just as the Danzig bus rolled in. Meet up with Johnny and he hooked us up that night. Its bar time, so we found a few establishments that had their Happy Hour specials. (we took full advantage of them) About 8 we left for the show and meet up with Johnny, G$ got to talk to him some before he had to leave. Seen the same show just different atmosphere. Eyes of Fire had a good show they seemed solid and Trivium was also decent. I don't remember Katakylsm. But when Danzig started it things didn't seem right, after a few songs the PA went out, lets say Glenn was not a happy boy. After about 3 songs of Glenn attempting to kill his mic, they must have figured it out. About 1:15 it was over and around 1:30 we had to roll. When I rolled into Dubuque at 7am I cleaned up and was at work at 8.
I have survived 1000 miles, 14 hours of driving, 4 bands, way too many Liquid Cocaine and lost track of the Jack and Coke.

1/25/2005- Johnny Kelly returns to DANZIG: "We are also pleased to announce that Johnny Kelly of Type O will be returning on Drums. US Fans did not have a chance to see Johnny play in DANZIG as he only did the European Tour for "I LUCIFERI" and the 2 "Blackest" Shows. Definately Not Worth Missing!!." Current dates for the Circle of Snakes US tour are listed on the DANZIG website.

9/17/2004- Tour Postponed... from Type O Negative's Management:
"Type O Negative postpones fall dates.
During a recent medical exam, undisclosed anomalies were discovered and it was suggested that Peter Steele, lead singer, bassist and songwriter, undergo further tests.
As a firm timetable for the tests and the subsequent results is indeterminable, it has been decided to postpone the fall tour to a later date when there will be no foreseeable conflicts with scheduling.
In the meantime Type O Negative continues to work on the forthcoming release, the first for new label SPV, due in 2005."

8/16/2004- TOUR DATES!

8/12/2004- Black Water Rising - The new side-project featuring Johnny Kelly and Kenny Hickey from TYPE O NEGATIVE along with Rob Traynor from DUST TO DUST has dropped the name SKYND and will be going under the moniker BLACK WATER RISING. Song samples will soon be made available at BlackWaterRising.com (currently under construction).
As previously reported, DUST TO DUST drummer Steve Tobin has been working with TYPE O NEGATIVE frontman Peter Steele in a separate side-project, the details of which have yet to be revealed. Hickey has contributed guitar solos to several songs on DUST TO DUST's recently released sophomore effort, "Sick", which is available through Traynor's own Psyclone Records. TYPE O NEGATIVE will be teaming up with AMORPHIS for a U.S. tour in the fall. No dates have been officially confirmed, but at least two venues — Toad's Place in New Haven, CT and The Rave in Milwaukee, WI — are currently advertising TYPE O NEGATIVE/AMORPHIS shows on Thursday, October 7 and Saturday, October 30, respectively. An official confirmation is expected soon.

-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
TYPE O NEGATIVE SIGN TO SPV

SPV is extremely proud to announce the signing of the legendary TYPE O NEGATIVE to a worldwide deal. "It is a true privilege to welcome TYPE O NEGATIVE into the ever-growing SPV family," says Manfred Schutz, Chairman of SPV worldwide. "They are a trailblazing band and we couldn't be happier to have them call SPV home."

For the past 15 years, TYPE O NEGATIVE have been dredging the dark depths of the human condition, becoming the planet's most prolific doom/metal band in the process. With a body of work that rivals any artist working in the heavy music arena, their consistent delivery of glorious misery has lead to a pair of gold records, a canon of classic material, and an influential finger in the dirty pie of every goth-infused metaller since 1990.

"It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with one of my all-time favorite bands " says Gunter Ford, president of SPV's American division.

"We at SPV America are looking forward to a prosperous relationship, filled with a lot of great music."

Details on TYPE O NEGATIVE's seventh studio album are coming soon. The "least best" has yet to be rendered. Stay tuned.

5/28/2003- The interview with Johnny Kelly.

Life is Killing Me
5/15/2003- Since September 21, 1999 we all have been waiting for something better. Not to say World Coming Down sucked but it could have been a lot better. The Least Worst was better since it had more of the previous Type O Negative anthems. and now Life is Killing Me... life has been killing us all for nearly 4 years.
What to expect. Don't expect World Coming Down, think back to October Rust. Its a bit milder then October but a hell of a lot better then World Coming Down, not a bad thing. After I got my copy about 2 weeks ago it has since visited most of the hard-core Type O Negative fans in my office, so far nobody hates it. Anesthesia, has taken a liking to a few of us and myself I like Goils, duh. Has anyone else noticed the female species has been featured on every Type O Negative album to date? I have heard comments on Angry Inch, The Dream is Dead and Life is Killing Me. I think despite the changes in album titles, Life is Killing Me best describes the feeling from most of us fans. Most of you have already heard The Dream is Dead from the basturds putting it on the internet. I can say that there are a least a handful of these tracks that are up to my standard, as low or high that is who knows.

After listening to this for about 2 weeks now I think that there may be some hidden subliminal messages in the tracks because... Type O Negative, Life is Killing Me in stores this June. With that said, weather you like it or not support the band, buy the album and see them on tour.

5/2/2003- Just got the Advance copy today. Listening to it as I am writing this, will get a review up within the next week. Stay tuned. June 17th it will hit the stores, get the fuck out there and buy it!

9/24/2001- Message from Johnny: Aside form that, we're dealing with the aftermath of what happened here two weeks ago. Things are starting to get back to normal. Traffic jam has a new standard now. It's incredible now. As if it wasn't bad before the attacks.

7/26/2001- We have just finished recording a track for the WWF titled "Out of the Fire," which is the theme song for the wrestler Kane. It is a cover version of his intro song. I totally forgot who else is appearing on the CD, and I also have no idea when it is going to be released or on which label. I'll find out and have Steve post the details on the site very soon. We are going to begin to record demos of the new songs we have written any day now. In between diaper changes and feedings, Josh is preparing his studio in his house at this very moment for the joyous occasion. Judging by what I've heard at rehearsals, some of the new songs are really good. I don't think that the Type O faithful are going to be disappointed. The songs constantly change at this stage, so they could wind up sucking big time when they're finished. I am excited (did I just type that?) about the new songs, and I can't wait to hear them finished and perform them live. We aren't expecting to have the new CD released until early 2002. We also don't have any touring planned. We will probably go out for a small run of dates around Halloween though, as we do every year.

11/10/2000- The Pig Pen show from November 9. Pics from show.

10/17/2000- The interview went well with Johnny Kelly went well today.

10/10/2000- Got the Advance of Least Worst today! I should have a review for the new tracks before the interview with Johnny. See track listings and lyrics.

8/21/2000- The release of the home video AFTER DARK in DVD form with additional commentary by the band and other new features in mid September 2000. The band are also set to release THE LEAST WORST OF TYPE O NEGATIVE (a Best Of... compilation) on Halloween 2000! Tracks to be included in the compilation are "Christian Woman," "Black No. 1," "Love You To Death," "Cinnamon Girl" along with two brand-new tracks and some rare tracks that will make it a must-have for TYPE O fans!
Also, September 26 Carnivore - Carnivore- reissue and Carnivore - Retaliation- reissue will be availible.

8/4/2000- Brooklyn, NY - TYPE O NEGATIVE, "...the decade's best American doom-metal band," (per the Village Voice) have some things to CELEBRATE! Their album, OCTOBER RUST, has just been certified Gold and they are due to release a compilation of their most successful tracks on Halloween 2000!

OCTOBER RUST- which featured the band's rendition of "Cinnamon Girl" as well as the singles "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend" and "Love You To Death" among others - was released in 1996 and saw the latter two singles rise into the Top 20 on the Active Rock radio charts. Frontman Peter Steele adds, with his (un)usual take on the achievement - "Now I have a pair of Gold albums to serve food on, even though they don't match my apartment."

Their upcoming Best-Of release, titled THE LEAST WORST OF TYPE O NEGATIVE, promises to be a must-have. "We are releasing a look back at our 'Decade of Depression' in CD-form that is scheduled to be released on Halloween this year. It's going to have unreleased tracks, very rare tracks and other misc. tracks," says drummer Johnny Kelly on the band's newly-launched website www.typeonegative.net. Songs to be featured include previously unavailable edited versions of TYPE O staples like "Christian Woman," "Black #1" and many more. Founding member, Josh Silver, says of the LEAST WORST- "Never has an album been so appropriately titled..." A final track listing is being determined and will be announced shortly.

3/17/2000- Added a Personal section. Get some incite into my existance

12/29/99- Everything Dies single contains the track '12 Black Rainbows'. I posted the MP3 on the Everything Dies page.

10/07/99- The Milwaukee show from October 5. Pics from show.

9/15/99- The release draws near... 'Moondogs' in Dubuque will be having the Midnight sale for Type O negative and NIN new release. They will be having a local radio station there that night so come out if you are in the area. The 'World Coming Down' ablum stickers are also available at Moondogs along with a few (very few) cassette samples.

9/2/99- Have pics of the display at Moondogs. There are a few samples left there, otherwise there will be some available at the 'My Brothers Place' Birthday Bash on the 17th. More news on the 'Midnight' sale is coming soon. Prizes will be listed, when confirmed.

8/30/99- Advanced Review See 'World Coming Down' Page

8/28/99- I finally received my advanced CD from Roadrunner today. As busy as my weekend has been I did finally get it listened to. Some good stuff! I don't know if Sinus, Liver and Lung are subliminal but who knows what it is, was or will be. Everyone Dies, Everyone I love... and World Coming Down seem to be in epic proportions. It truly hasn't got my undivided attention yet. Monday I will be able to listen to it full bore, I'll let you know the outcome.

8/27/99- Received the cassette singles today. All I can say is I sat back and got my fix. Tracks 1 & 2 are addictive and defiantly Type 'O ish. Tracks 3-5 I'll have to hear more to better my opinion of them.
