I had a friend who wanted to learn to play guitar. I fell in love with the Aria
in the music store but I could not afford it. So encouraged my friend to
purchase the guitar (new), as he wanted to learn to play.
My friend played it for about a year and put it away. A few years later my
wife ask me what I wanted for my birthday, so I told her that a friend had a
guitar in his closet I would love to have. My lovely wife gave me the Aria
cowboy jumbo guitar for my birthday (5/29/77).

Playing my Aria Jumbo Model # 9450 in The Barley House Band 10/12/03

I have played this guitar (Aria Model # 9450) for 26 years.
It has traveled with me from below zero temps into hot coffeehouses and
aditoriums, giving the finish that "I've been around" cracked look.

I installed a bridge transducer in for a good amplified sound, and I get
a "pure accoustic sound" with a SM58. I currently am using a Duncan
Performer in the sound hole giving a great natural sound.

My Aria has traveled on trans contenintal and international flights, both in the
cabin and in the cargo hold of jets. I have played it in the mountains of Colorado,
the heat of Texas and in tropics of the Dominican Republic.

After 26 years of being a working guitar,
it is still a great playing and sounding instrument.

I anyones knows anything about Arias with model #9450, please let me know.
I have had several Aria dealers tell me Aria never made this guitar,
and the Aria USA site does not list this model number.

I have finally retired the Aria, replacing it with a Gibson J-180 EC.
The J-180EC is a beautiful guitar with starburst on the neck and bridge.
I only hope the Gibson plays as long and well as the Aria.
