Welcome To
The Borders Family
C-Stone Festival
History Page

 Cornerstone 2001 was the
Borders Family 15st Festival.
And the year he brought our first grandson Tyler

Tyler attended our 21st Festival 2007  with us.

Every year as our family vacation, we make the trek to
Cornerstone Farm and Cornerstone Music and Arts Festival
in Bushnell Illinois, in the American Heartland.

In 1984 the first Cornerstone Music & Arts Festival was held in Grays Lake Illinois.
but I  I have a Tye-dyed T-shirt from "Cornerstone Festival '76.  We drove to Grays Lake
Fairgrounds, from our hometown, Bushnell Illinois for the first Festival with several
teenagers from our Youth Group in Bushnell.

In 1985 we moved to Texas and we missed the next three festivals (85-86 & 87).

In July of 1991, the festival moved from Grays Lake to Cornerstone Farm. So we now
drive down from Moline Illinois, which has been our home town since 1987.

My Dad, (Bud) started working for JPUSA as the grounds keeper, and mower at the Farm
in 1992. he retired this year.  Bud has a nice little camper/cabin down by the lake, which he lets
us use as our Cornerstone Festival home. The famous Bud's Abode

Every year the festival grows in maturity, size, and influence, and we are now 19 year
veterans, and we are proud to be part of the Cornerstone family.

Cross on the point
If you have every canoed or swam across the lake, you have seen the old rugged cross up close.
At night, during the Festival, it is illuminated andvshines out across the water.

We have had the pleasure to camp with people from manyvplaces.
