Gyroscopic Sensor Module Gyro Description:

Pictured left is a new and improved gyro sensor that incorporates both: 3 axis of accelerometer (Motorola MMA7260) with the possibility for up to 3 axis of  angular rate measurement utilizing Analog Devices ADXRS150 gyroscopic sensor.

The module stacks directly with the RF Transceiver Module.

Vision Sensor Module High Speed CMOS Image Sensor:

Pictured left is a low resolution (128x100) CMOS image sensor capable of frame rates of up to 580 frames per second. This module interfaces with the FPGA Memory Expansion Module.

Rotation Sensor module Hall Effect Rotation Sensor:

Pictured left is an interesting rotation sensor / rotary encoder manufactured by Austria Micro Systems. The sensor can discern a magnets rotary position with 10 bits of precision per revolution and reports the result as a PWM, SPI or indexed quadrature signal. The sensor is truly simple to setup and use, and, is especially useful when converting gear-head motors to high precision servo motors.

Prototype Gyroscopic Sensor Module Gyro Description:

Pictured left is a homemade gyro sensor with integrated tilt sensor. This gyro measures rotational acceleration in the plane of the board as well as tilt (acceleration along the X & Y axis of the board respectively). As the gyro sensor is only packaged as BGA care must be taken when aligning the chip on the PCB. Cost: Gyro $30, Accelerometer $5, PCB $12, Misc $5. Size: LxWxH: 1.4 x 0.9 x 0.6

Gyroscopic Sensor Schematic Gyro Description: (Schematic)

Pictured far left is a Schematic for a homemade 1 + axis gyro sensor and 2 axis accelerometer. (Zoom for detail)

Gyroscopic Sensor PCB Art Gyro Description:

Pictured far left is PCB artwork for a homemade gyro sensor. (Magnetic Axis Schematic & Artwork soon)

Gyroscopic Sensor Diagram Gyro Description: (How are the Gyro's Sensors Oriented?)

This chart describes how the gyro's sensors capture information. B measures magnetic field orientation, angular acceleration is measured around axis x,y,z and acceleration is measured along x,y,z.
