FPGA Module

FPGA Module:

This project provides a breakout board for the Altera Cyclone EP1C3T100 FPGA. The board provides a great base for experimenting with the NIOS I/II processor or testing out a core  from www.opencores.org.

The board measures 3" x 1.2" and stacks with both the CPLD Module and the Memory Expansion Module.

CPLD Module
CPLD Module:

This project provides a breakout board for the Altera Max EPM3064 CPLD. The board provides a great base for experimenting with simple state machines and motor controllers.

The board measures 3" x 1.2" and stacks with both the FPGA Module and the Memory Expansion Module.

Memory Expansion Module
Memory Expansion Module:

This project allows the addition of 512K SRAM and potentially 4GByte of SD Flash memory to either the Altera Cyclone EP1C3T100 FPGA or Altera Max EPM3064 CPLD. The board also provides a convenient interface for the High Speed Video Sensor.

The board measures 3" x 1.2" and stacks with both the FPGA and the CPLD Module.

A future board is in the works to provide 16MByte of PSRAM or 64MByte of SDR/DDR SDRAM in addition to the SD Flash.

Motor Control Module
Motor Control Module:

This project utilizes the venerable (and low cost) L298P Dual H-Bridge Driver, allowing the control of speed and direction of 2 DC Brush Motors or 1 Bipolar stepper motor.

Ethernet Camera
Ethernet Camera:

This project attaches a small cell phone type *.jpeg camera to a miniature Ethernet Server on a chip. It is very easy to serve up low refresh rate webs (read 1 fps). I am or will be working on a streaming video interface in the future. The next version will also have a properly optimized PCB.

Labview Camera / Gyro Interface

Labview Camera /Gyro Interface:

Description: This interface is posted on the web (132.198.11.247/00temp00.htm). The interface allows gyro status monitoring as well as image processing monitoring. The Camera used is a Logitech Quick Cam and the Gyro is manufactured by Microstrain.
