Josie is a 3 year old mini Ausie owned by Caryn Crouch who has become a big attraction at agility trials. Caryn brought Josie home from Blue Okie Kennels in Lincoln, Nebraska. Josie started competing in June of 2001 and has gone all the way thru the UKC agility program and has received UAGI, UAGII, UACH, and UACHX titles...and finished them all by February of 2002.
Caryn and Josie have been exploring other venues as well. Josie received a Standard Qualifying leg along with First and Second Places in USDAA in Snooker and Gamblers. This was quite a challenge for Josie as she is only 12.5" at the withers and she had to jump 16" that weekend.
Josie has also tried CPE (Canine Performance Events) and in one weekend (outdoors in the wind and rain) she received 6 out of 9 qualifying runs and finished with 5 first places, 3 second places and a 3rd place.
Caryn and Josie have recently been competing in AKC trials and Josie is doing quite well there, too. Josie started AKC agility at a lightning pace...Josie went first place in 9 consecutive runs and got 3 titles!! (Novice, Open, and Excellent Standard Agility). In Jumpers with Weaves Josie has completed Novice, Open, and Excellent A titles and she is now working on her Masters titles and has just started to accumulate MACH points and strive for Double Q's. Josie has earned 6 Master Excellent legs, 7 Master Excellent Jumpers with Weaves legs, 1 double Q, and 142 MACH points...way to go, Josie!
Josie is a very intense and agile dog and she is not only winning in competitions, she's winning the hearts of everyone who meets her.
